A graduate of ECAL, the School of Fine and Applied Arts of Lausanne, Adrien Rovero opened his studio in Renens in 2006. Working in the furniture and exhibition design sectors, he has developed an uncluttered and effective, often offbeat, style that draws inspiration from his close scrutiny of everyday life. He enjoys assembling and repurposing shapes, materials, references and uses.
Adrien Rovero has taken over the two ground-floor galleries with an exhibition entitled Landscale-a hybrid title word encompassing land, scale and landscape. In this show he questions the interplay of scales: fiddling with reduced or blown up sizes of his objects, he invites us to enter a disconcerting world of Gulliver and Lilliput.
